Thames (NZ): The unknown men on the WWI Peace Memorial

Back to the plea...do you have a relative from Thames who died in World War One?
As part of The Treasury's (The Coromandel Heritage Trust) WW100 project a book is being prepared on the men who served from the Thames area.

There are still a few names on the memorial that haven't been 100% identified, so please can you take a moment to check the list that Kae has been researching.
  • Is your relatives name is included?
  • Can identify the unknown names: W ALLEY, L AUTRIDGE, F DANN, F DEMPSEY, W GOODWIN, Wm HENDERSON, J MCMILLAN, F STEWART, W TRAINOR.
If you can help with the above, please contact The Treasury webmaster

Any relative that has information that could be added to the biography that will appear in the book, please also contact the above address. They are always looking for letters, photos, family recollections related to World War One.

One of the men who is yet to identified, is W GOODWIN, they have his photo, but can to-date, not locate the correct W Goodwin. Check your family photos, can you help to identify this soldier?
